You might be dehydrated and needing looser or untextured leggums

I don’t really care for dehydrated legumes.

See i read it as "leg-umms". Like Steak-ums lol

Damn. I haven’t thought about SteakUms in ages. Used to make a steakums sandwich after school in the 90s pretty often. Toast, a bit of mayo and fry up a piece with a slice of cheese. I need to get a pack now!

u/Immer_Susse 7h ago
Prepare for massive disappointment. I got nostalgic a while back and tried them. 😐
13
u/Difficult-Map-2620 6h ago
I’m sure they are awful now… like everything that was once good. I am just glad they brought back Clearly Canadian a few years ago. I rarely drink soda, but I loved that back in the day and keep a few cans in the fridge.

Alright. There's a fridge full of Steak-ums, but you got to microwave them. I don't want you using the stove when we're gone.
"You can't microwave Steak-ums. They get all hard!"

u/Hellguin 6h ago
No you dont, leave the nostalgia in the past where it belongs, they are absolute shit back in 2015, and I highly expect worse now.

SteakUms sounds like a dog snack. Is there a dog snack with a name like that, beggin strips, maybe that's what I'm thinking of.

Legume is veggies in French. I thought they were suggesting the person was lacking in vitamins LOL

Is it perhaps within the realm of possibility that OP simply calls leggings leggums in real life, because it's hilarious? Like I'll sometimes say "yeffs" instead of "yes" or "chickum" instead of "chicken"?

I drink plenty of water daily, but the "leggums" did feel pretty cool to touch!
Edit: To clarify, I drink one of those big water jugs daily, but I'll obviously admit that my skin was very dry at the timeand it was in winter. Depression can make putting on lotion feel like it takes 50 steps in mind - but yeah, legs were dry and deprived 😖

Make sure you keep your electrolytes up because you lose them through sweat and thus water doesn’t stay in your system long enough to keep you hydrated.
Edit: fixed autocorrect.
My auto correct doesn’t know the difference between lose n loose n it’s pissing me off.It keeps autocorrecting it each time 🤦🏽♀️ to the wrong one!

I'm getting so tired of this on my cell phone. Sometimes it will autocorrect the correct word to the wrong one, that the context makes no sense, and isn't a word I would have normally used. And when I go back and fix it it changes it again. Sorry but if I change a word back to another world that is a real word auto correct should fuck off at that point.

Eh, for everyday exercise you dont need electrolytes. You only need it if it's really hot or you're doing some long intense workout.
29
u/Competitive_Fig_3821 6h ago
I mean this person objectively needs either looser tights or electrolytes... we don't know their exercise intensity to call one way or another.
8
u/0range_julius 3h ago
I backpacked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim-to-rim with some friends a while back and while I was putting some electrolyte powder in my drink, my friend started telling me "y'know, the need for supplemental electrolytes is really overblown, you basically only need them when you're doing really intense exercise in the heat" and I just blinked at him, wondering what would qualify to him as an activity that required electrolytes if not a 40-mile hike through the desert with 10,000 feet of elevation gain.

u/milkhotelbitches 6h ago
Yup. Unless you're finishing a workout thinking "holy fuck I'm sweaty, my clothes are literally soaking wet." you probably dont need extra electrolytes.

Thanks! I looked this up because I'm a hypnochondriac, and luckily none of those symptoms apply to me.
Good info for others though!
Edit: thank you to those of you in the comments with real advice, I'll look into the other suggestions later. I've reserved plenty of anxiety already from the barrage of notifications from this unexpected post reaction. Off I go now... but I do hope that even if one other person seeing this post is saved or made aware of any potentially life threatening condition sees this, it's worth it. Ok, thanks again!! 🖤❤️
I usually fix typos, but I'm leaving the "Hypno" one - because why not 🙂↔️

Also a lot of hypermobility disorders! Marks like these stay in my skin for 10 minutes minimum, up to 20+ if it's super deep. I'm very very well hydrated, and even my sheets/pillowcases will leave deep marks overnight.
